In Apalachicola we have a vast variety of fish and fishing methods. These range from a 12` fiberglass pole and a bucket of worms or live minnows, to light casting and spinning tackle, all the way to 80 lb class bottom tackle offshore. We fish in anywhere from 2` of water to 125` of water. We catch bream, bass, and shellcrackers in freshwater. Then in shallow saltwater we catch redfish, speckled trout, black drum, sheephead, whiting, white trout, pompano, tripletail, flounder, sharks, and many other species. Offshore in the deeper water we catch grouper, red and black snapper, king mackerel, amberjack, cobia, sharks, and the list goes on.

As you can see we do have a have a lot to chose from, and some of the most natural and pristine fishing areas anywhere. From hundreds of miles of creeks, rivers, lakes, and tidal marshes, to fifty plus miles of white sandy beaches on Apalachicola Bays barrier islands. Nearly half of our barrier islands are owned by the state or federal government, they are uninhabited and very few people visit them. They are wonderful, beautiful, pristine and waiting for you and your family to enjoy.
